Description

Metlhala Ya Badimo is a historical novel that gives the lives of miners. The main character is a Mosarwa man, Khee, who lived with his grandfather Sartjie and the Barolong Batswana tribe. It follows the events of Khee, from his home to work in the Rustenburg mines. He experiences racism in the mine because he was a white man and lived with Batswana, and fell in love with a Tswana girl. Another thing that the novel emphasizes is apartheid and the forcible occupation of African land by whites during the colonial period of the apartheid era. Khee quits his job in the mines and returns home. He is determined to fight for the land of his gods. Will he succeed?
